Sending documents safely from China to Brazil

3 min read · King Hands practical guide

The Chinese final route became unrecognisable, it is so simple: provincial apostille since 2023, global couriers operating at strength, state EMS as the alternative. The corridor that was Asia's most bureaucratic became routine.

Before shipping

Apostille at the FAO of the gongzhengchu's province (or MFA Beijing) — days, with the representative conducting. And the scanner: the notarial with its red stamps digitised in high resolution — the authenticity reference Brazil will check.

The options

  • International EMS: the state post — reliable, 2-4 weeks.
  • Courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS — very strong in China): 3-6 days: the standard.
  • A bearer: the community's São Paulo-China bridge is constant; when someone crosses, take advantage.

The package

Rigid envelope (the bound notarial doesn't fold), inner plastic, full Brazilian address with CEP and country code, declaration “个人文件 / personal documents, no commercial value”.

If it goes missing

The gongzhengchu reissues from the records it kept — days, via the representative. The Chinese corridor forgives bad luck better than average; the digital copy of the stamps is, even so, mandatory.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Chinese apostille accepted in Brazil?+

Yes — both are Hague parties with mutual effect since November 2023. Documents from the old regime (double legalisation) remain valid.

Chinese translation in Brazil: viable?+

Yes — sworn Mandarin translators exist in reasonable numbers (São Paulo as the hub). The bilingual notarial frequently saves it; when not, the page flows.
