E-apostille refused: the classic — paper, a physical apostille, an envelope. The question to the recipient BEFORE anything defines which corridor you pay for.
The physical flow
- International registered bpost — reliable: acceptable, 2-4 weeks.
- Courier (DHL — the European hub in Liège! —, UPS, FedEx): 2-5 days: the standard for proceedings.
- A bearer via Brussels/Amsterdam/Paris: the diaspora circulates through the neighbouring hubs.
The package
A rigid envelope, inner plastic, the complete Brazilian address with postal code and country code, the declaration “documents personnels / persoonlijke documenten, sans valeur commerciale”. The usual standard, in two languages out of Belgian politeness.
