How to collect a document already issued in Hungary
The Hungarian collection follows the Central European rite — written authorisation, identifications, town-hall counter — with the Magyar seasoning: opening hours vary by day of the week (long Monday, short Friday is the pattern), and Hungarian accents (ő, ű) are not decoration.
Who can collect
The requester or the bearer with a meghatalmazás + a copy of the grantor's document + their own document. The hivatal checks with Hungarian seriousness — formal on paper, cordial in person.
Town-hall hours
The national pattern: extended Monday (until 5-6pm), Tuesday to Thursday mornings, Friday until lunch — with local variations published. The ügyfélfogadás (public reception) is sacred: outside it, not even the door opens. Confirm the right day before any trip.
The postal alternative
The hivatalok send by post (including abroad) — ask in the request. The usual design: a Hungarian address, apostille in Budapest, a single crossing.

The order of the names, the long accents (ő is not ö), dates, the right kivonat type, stamps. Written Hungarian forgives no approximations — and the document chain even less.
