Before shipping
Apostille at the competent ministry in Budapest (civil-registry records follow the foreign ministry's flow; judicial ones, the justice ministry's — the hivatal guides the case) — before the crossing, always. And the scanner: kivonat and apostille digitised, with the accents checked in the image.

- International ajánlott from Magyar Posta — registered: acceptable, 2-5 weeks.
- Courier (DHL/UPS/FedEx via Budapest): 3-5 days: the standard for a process.
- A bearer via Frankfurt/Lisbon: the diaspora circulates through the hubs.
The package
Rigid envelope, inner plastic, full Brazilian address with CEP and country code, declaration “személyes iratok, kereskedelmi érték nélkül” (personal documents, no commercial value).
If it goes missing
Record in the electronic system: a new kivonat in days, from any hivatal + a new apostille. Register certifications: the archive queue again — duplicate copies of the historical pieces are the cheap insurance policy.
